Happy Groundhog Day from Xylem!
February 1, 2012
So much to catch up on….how did it get to be February already? First of all, Happy Groundhog Day to everyone! We thought we’d celebrate with a giveaway. Just leave a comment below to win a $20 gift certificate to Xylem. We’d like to know what your favorite gift to give or receive from Xylem has been so far. The contest will run only through Saturday, Feb. 4th, so be sure to comment before then.
Also, we will be changing our hours slightly for the rest of the winter. We’ll be closed on Sundays, but extending our Saturday hours a bit. Our complete weekly hours will be:
Mon – Fri: 10am – 7pm
Sat: 11am – 5pm
Sun: closed
There are always many new items to see at the store! We’ve just returned from a couple of gift shows, and new merchandise is arriving each and every week. Stop by whenever you’re in the neighborhood to check it out. And we know that Xylem may not be your first thought for Superbowl merchandise, but we’ve still got lots to help you celebrate! We have some new swirled glass chip & dip sets that would brighten up any festivities. And if you’re more into the Puppy Bowl than the Super Bowl, check out our doggie chew toys, collars and leashes. And no kick-off would be complete without our newly restocked supply of knee socks and crew socks! Toast, rainbow, robots, video games, hearts and gnomes for all of your toes.
We’ve got lots of wonderful Valentine’s Day cards, so stop by early for the best selection. Love is in the air! Or, well, at least we love all of our customers, and will be in touch again soon with more updates. In the meantime, don’t forget to like us on Facebook (here) or follow us on Twitter (here) for the latest news in between our e-mail newsletter. Thanks, as always, for your support, and hope to see you soon!

January has been so crazy that I haven’t been in last month. As you write, how is it February?
My husband love all the robot stuff (wind-up & puzzle, especially) that I bought for his stocking.
Among other things, bought a cluster of rainbow-colored one-inch balls that can be twisted into various designs — and am going to have a hard time giving it away; and a green bib inscribed GIVE PEAS A CHANCE. Plan to buy a cloth (the sort of wide-wale corduroy) animal (alligator, giraffe maybe) for a friend’s baby. But the biggest pleasure was the wonderful design of the store — really remarkable.
My daughter received the robot plate, cup and bowl and she loves it!
My favorite gift I received was a small notebook with a cutout of a cow on the front! so cute! My friend and I often come to Xylem together after getting coffee and we saw those little notebooks one day and she got one for me. How nice!
I just got a small heart-shaped gift-enclosure by EggPress.
It’s adorable!
So much great stuff from Xylem….where to start?
Have got to mention that it is a wonderful surprise that Sara (100 lb blood hound) has NOT totally destroyed her elephant chew toy!!! Kevin thought it would have been decimated within 15 minutes…but he was wrong
She loves carrying it around and sharing it!
Loved my robot pencil sharpener and holder. Awesome gift.
Xylem is awesome at any time. It’s impossible to go in just to browse. I got some pretty wicked robot stickers last time I was in
. I have yet to check out the Valentine’s day goods- but you can bet I will!
I love all the unique trinkets and stationary. I hand them out to my friends and they are always curious where I found them. I can’t wait to see the new goodies. Keep up the great work!
We picked up a copy of Herve Tullet’s Press Here for our daughter’s third birthday last summer. She loves it, and we love it. Every time she reads the book with us, she says, “Thank you for buying this book for me!”
Our favorite adult gift is the Boston Dining Cards; who can argue with $ off on restaurants all over town! But the 3D pad with glasses was also a big hit with a younger recipient.
I bought so many wonderful gifts from Xylem. My favorite gift purchased for a friend is the “I Can’t Sleep” journal from Uncommon Goods (should I be writing this – I am giving it to her tomorrow). She can be quite difficult to shop for and after visiting countless shops I was ready to give up and give her the dreaded gift card (OH NO!). However, when I popped into Xylem, it didn’t take long to spot this gem. It’s a useful and humerous gift for anyone who complains of being kept up all night!
Another favorite is a gift I bought for myself (cheeky). It’s the blue elephant Baggu bag. It folds up so smartly in my purse, but expands to a great size when needed. And is much more elegant than the plastic bags from the grocery store!
